April 9, 2022 9a-11a

3691 Main Street, Hilliard, OH 43026

(where the Hilliard Farmer’s Market is located, but inside!)

Learning Leaf is partnering with Hilliard Kiwanis to host Take 2 of the Third Annual Kids’ Business Fair in Hilliard. We believe that children, when allowed to unleash their creativity, can accomplish great things. We hope that you will be a part of building kids’ confidence!

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and will be held on April, 2022 from 9a to 11a at 3691 Main St, Hilliard, OH 43026 (where the Farmer’s Market is held but we will be inside).

What is the Kids’ Business Fair?

Kids from the ages of 6 to 16 create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace. All kids are welcome! We’ve had entrepreneurs from Cleveland and shoppers from Canada! On the day of the fair, children will be assigned a booth and are responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers.

Applications closed on March 15, 2022.

More about the Kids’ Business Fair:

To apply please click the link above. This will direct you to the Kids’ Business Fair application and will serve as the kid’s initial business plan. Parents are encouraged to have the kids fill out as much of this as possible. We will be accepting kids from age 6 to 16 and each business can have up to 3 kid-owners. Kids do not have to reside in Hilliard to participate. Parents are to be as hands-off as possible!! Read our FAQs for more information on this.

As with any business, there will be start-up costs, so in order to apply for a booth, kids will be required to pay a $25 booth fee. As asked in the application, they must let us know how they obtained this money, whether through a “loan” from their parents or some other way. (Kids not able to secure a “loan” scholarships are available, APPLY HERE).

After they send in the application and registration fee, they will receive communication from the Kids’ Business Fair planning committee.

There is a mandatory Business Planning Meeting that will be held on (date and location To Be Determined) that can be attended in person or virtually. During this time they will meet with local small business owners to review their business plan and prepare for the big event.

During the event, there will be volunteers to help assist the kids with set-up and sit with them, if necessary, at their booth to help make change, handle customers, etc. NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO SIT WITH THEIR CHILD!

Thank You to Our Incredible Sponsors
